Webmaster Services: Enhanced

Large companies have IT departments with a webmaster and various other employees such as web designers, graphic artists, programmers, marketing analysts and search engine specialists that manage their corporate web sites to best advantage. 

Unfortunately, this is not possible for many small to medium sized companies with limited budgets.  Too often, these smaller companies pay good money for a web site, but without proper management, the web sites just grow old and fade away with time.  They become an expense category on the profit and loss statement rather than an asset with a measurable return on investment. At Tencom, we want to change this scenario.  We think your web site should be an asset, and we work to make that a reality.

Enhanced Webmaster Services, also known  in-house as Partner Services, is a new plan at Tencom based on work that we are currently performing for certain clients but without a published description. Based on the success we have had with these clients, we are now offering these services to new customers also.

Basically, with this plan, we become your e-business partner or your outsource employee if you prefer.  As your partner or loyal employee, we become motivated to see your e-business succeed just as you do.  Of course, we want this for all our customers, but too often we can not help in a timely manner because first there have to be negotiations, quotes, contracts and other delays before any work can be done.  This is not the case with the Enhanced Webmaster Services plan.  Like an employee, we are on the job on a daily basis. 

Additionally, this is a proactive service.  Like a trusted employee, we don't sit around and wait for you to tell us how to do our jobs.  We react immediately when we find problems. We make obvious changes on your site that will benefit the business.  We closely watch statistical traffic patterns on your site for problems or opportunities and then immediately take action.  We also can quickly react when you need additions, changes or corrections made to your pages. Actually, we will do whatever it takes to make your site the best it can be, so that it will truly be an asset rather than an expense.

Below is a list of services that Tencom will provide for customers with the Enhanced Webmaster Account.  This is not an all inclusive list, as we will do any work that you require if within our areas of expertise, but this is a representative example of the work we normally perform.

Search Engine Optimization and Marketing

• Bi-monthly and monthly statistical reports with analysis and suggestions.
• Mini-info reports throughout the month with problem alerts and success alerts.
• Page modification based on statistical analysis to improve search positioning.
• Search for backlink opportunities from other sites to improve popularity rank.

Web Site Maintenance and Support

• Update existing pages as needed.

• Maintain client's link pages and include pages.
• Maintain, optimize, resize and enhance client's image files as needed.
• Resolve site usability issues and perform needed maintenance .
• Organize and maintain client's site map.
• Make graphic design changes as needed or requested.
• Suggest changes for improving client's web site.
• Consult with client's hosting provider and engineers as required.
• Provide support for client's in-house web design tools.
• Research web programs, scripts and other site tools at customer request.

Managed Hosting Support

• Management of hosting Control Panel.
• Set up e-mail addresses as needed.
• Set up forwarding accounts as needed.
• Set up mailing lists as needed.
• Install Perl, PHP and ASP scripts as needed.
• Monitor disk space and bandwidth usage.
• Setup sub domains and parked domains as needed.
• Resolve hosting issues with provider.
• Monitor network availability and performance.
• Personalized e-mail support and "always available" cell phone support.
• Itemized time sheet showing all monthly work.

The price for the Enhanced  Webmasters Plan is $500.00 per month.  This includes 10 hours of real work at $50.00 per hour.  Unlike some companies, we don't just sit on our hands and collect your money.  We actually work each and every minute of these 10 hours, and the clock stops for coffee breaks, personal business and daydreaming.

We will send you a itemized time sheet at the end of each month showing all work performed.  Additional hours will be billed at the same low $50.00 per hour rate, but we will always consult with you before exceeding the 10 hour limit.

The plan requires a three month commitment, but if you are not satisfied with the work, you can cancel at any time.  As long as you renew before the end of each three month service period, we will guarantee the price above for one year.
