With a greater focus on recruitment, Choctaw Transportation Company debuts a new website.

A leader in marine construction and river transportation, Choctaw Transportation Company is excited to announce the launch of its new website, https://choctawtrans.com/.

New redesign features include a modern layout, improved functionality, more visuals, and a new recruitment tool.

Justin Jackson, Director of Safety at Choctaw, has led the company's restyle efforts and expects to see its recruitment pool grow exponentially. The new website allows those interested in a position to submit an on-the-spot application, regardless of their location and the type of device they are using for the process.

It is no secret that having a functional website accessible to all mobile devices is essential to expanding recruitment today. According to Google Analytics, a web analytics service measuring web traffic and trends, 68% of all global website visits in 2020 were made on a mobile device. That is an increase of 5% just from 2019. (Perficient, 2021)

Annabelle Keeling, a Web Developer at Tencom Services, has seen this project through from beginning to end and has thoroughly enjoyed watching the Choctaw team's creative ideas come to life while being able to employ new development techniques in the process.

While Jackson says Tencom helped make their ideas a reality, Paolo Amarena, Tencom's Marketing Director, states it was a smooth process because Choctaw had a clear vision of the new website. He explains how the new features will be a great asset to the company. "The website has been built using a brand-new Content Management System application laying a solid foundation for a great business tool for years to come."

Other highlights of the restyle include its user-friendliness, emphasis on a strong safety culture, and inclusion of photos and video footage that reflect the overview of its services. In addition, each page has been uniquely designed as an avenue of contact, whether by requesting a callback or filling out a form. The website is also fully responsive and optimized for organic Search Engine Optimization, which will increase their online visibility and generate a more trusting audience.

Jackson says that this fourth-generation family-owned business puts a lot of stock in its reputation and strives for continuous improvement. "The maritime and aggregate industries are ever-changing, so we have to continually make investments to ensure we remain a leader within the industries we serve."
